The Mental Health Travel & Social Group

A voluntarily run service run by service users themselves to promote confidence and well-being amongst themselves and other service users.

Come along and join us as we visit cities and towns around the west midlands and beyond

Meet every Wednesday – please call Andy first on 07961 673 723 or 07919 626 246.

On the mental Health Travel and Social Group we visit places such as Telford, Birmingham, Stafford, West Brom and Lichfield.  We look around the shops in these towns or cities, have something to eat in a public house or eatery and visit historical places, museums and local places of interest.

On the group we also visit such places as Cosford Aerospace, Wightwick Manor, Himley Hall and Penkridge Market.

We normally leave Wolverhampton at 10:30am and return sometime between 3:30pm and 5pm.

On the group we run a kitty which enables us to go to places further out and to pay entry frees into historical places and places of interest. The kitty money is £1 each per week although it is not compulsory and anyone individual may opt out if they so desire.

The Mental Health Travel and Social Group is most suitable for people with concessionary travel passes. However, this is not an essential requirement and any individual with mental health problems may come along and join the group.

Please note: We are a volunteer run social group. We welcome new members so please do join us. However, always remember you are responsible for your own health & safety and your own belongings while out on the group.
